Equity and Inclusion in Urban Manufacturing

Inequality is perhaps the greatest economic challenge of our time, and racial disparities in wealth and income are growing, even as we become a majority people-of-color nation. As urban manufacturing is gaining traction in cities across the nation, how can low-income residents and communities of color participate fully and benefit from the jobs and business activity created? This webinar, hosted by the UMA Equity Community of Practice, offers a framework for advancing racial, economic, and social equity, and make the case for why urban manufacturers must be advocates for equity. The webinar highlighted examples of where deepening a commitment to equity and inclusion can strengthen industry outcomes.
